Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 March 2026
1. Scope and Provider
These Terms of Use govern the use of QuestPath, a web-based AI companion service for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic, available at the domain on which this page is served.
The service is operated by Sebastian Sanftleben, Vogtshagen 5, 18184 Poppendorf, Germany (Impressum). By accessing or using QuestPath you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
QuestPath provides an AI-powered chat interface that answers questions about World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic, including questing, leveling, dungeons, raids, classes, talents, professions, gear progression, and PvP. The service may also generate importable quest-path strings compatible with supported in-game addons.
The service requires authentication via Battle.net OAuth and processes your publicly available Battle.net character data to tailor responses to your character.
3. Free Tier and Usage Limits
QuestPath is currently provided free of charge. Each authenticated account is allocated a limited number of AI requests per day (currently 25). This quota resets daily at midnight UTC. The operator reserves the right to change the quota, introduce pricing tiers, or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice.
4. User Obligations
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other technical controls.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to send requests in bulk.
- Submit content that is abusive, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or reproduce the service or its outputs for a competing product without written permission.
The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any account that violates these obligations, without prior notice.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Responses generated by QuestPath are produced by an AI language model (Google Gemini) and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. They do not constitute professional, legal, or authoritative game advice.
Although the system is configured to draw on established TBC Classic community resources (Wowhead, Icy Veins, Warcraft Tavern), the operator cannot guarantee that all AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or up to date. The AI may produce incorrect, outdated, or incomplete information. You use AI-generated responses at your own risk.
6. Intellectual Property
World of Warcraft, The Burning Crusade, and Battle.net are registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. QuestPath is an independent, unofficial project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment.
The QuestPath interface, design, and original code are © Sebastian Sanftleben. Quest-path export strings generated by the service are provided for your personal, non-commercial in-game use.
7. Third-Party Services
QuestPath integrates third-party services including Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Battle.net OAuth (login), Google AdSense (advertising, with consent), and Google Gemini (AI model). Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. The operator is not liable for the acts or omissions of these third parties.
8. Data Protection
The processing of personal data is governed by the applicable data protection law (GDPR / DSGVO). The service collects and processes only the data necessary to provide the service: authentication tokens, publicly available Battle.net character data, and chat history. No sensitive personal data is collected.
Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after your explicit consent via the Cookie Settings banner. You may withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
For data-related enquiries contact hello@questpath.icu.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use QuestPath, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content or service interruptions.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10. Changes to These Terms
The operator reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms is, to the extent legally permissible, the operator's place of business in Germany.
